Manpower recruitment services are the sourcing, screening, testing and placement of staff at volume for an employer, most often across trade, technical, hospitality and operational roles. The agency identifies and verifies candidates. The employer hires them.
That last sentence is the whole distinction, and it is worth being blunt about it because the word “manpower” hides it.
Manpower supply, also called labour supply or labour hire, means the agency employs the workers and hires them out to you by the hour or the month. Alliance does not do this. Every person we place joins your payroll on a permanent contract, under your management, on your terms.
We also do not provide temporary, contract, project-based or temp-to-perm staffing. If your requirement is eight weeks of cover, we are the wrong supplier and will say so on the first call rather than the third.
What we do provide is permanent recruitment at volume, from a recruitment base in India, into employers worldwide.
For the wider practice, see our manpower agency page.
Most manpower recruitment services in this market are labour supply with a recruitment label on the invoice. The difference shows up on your balance sheet and in your compliance file, and most buyers discover which one they bought at audit. Alliance recruits permanent staff who become your employees. Slower, more expensive up front, and the only version where the worker is actually yours.
Domestic Indian placements, mid-level: 2 to 4 weeks from brief to offer.
Volume trade recruitment within India: 3 to 6 weeks for a defined batch.
Overseas deployment from India: 8 to 16 weeks, because documentation, medicals, and visa processing sit between offer and arrival and cannot be compressed.
Domestic permanent placement: a percentage of first-year salary, billed on start date.
Volume trade recruitment: typically a fixed per-candidate fee rather than a percentage, because the arithmetic of a percentage on forty similar salaries makes no sense to anyone. Overseas deployment adds visa, medical, attestation and travel costs, which sit with the employer and vary sharply by destination.
Welders weld, electricians are tested, drivers drive, cooks cook. You should never be the first person to discover a candidate cannot do the job, and on a forty-person mandate that discovery is expensive.
Your employee, your contract, your management. We do not employ workers and invoice you for their time.
For overseas mandates: emigration clearance, attestation, police clearance, medicals and visa processing, each with a status you can see and a person accountable for it. The most common cause of a failed overseas mandate is a document nobody was watching.
Identity, qualification and employment verification, with enhanced screening for BFSI, healthcare and any role carrying financial or safeguarding responsibility.
with the period and terms written into the agreement rather than assumed.
On overseas mandates, expect 10 to 15 percent of selected candidates to fall out at medical or visa stage. Any provider promising forty out of forty has not run this before.
Roles, quantities, skill standard, salary and destination. For overseas mandates we confirm visa quota and nationality eligibility before sourcing begins, because shortlisting a nationality the destination will not issue visas for wastes a month.
Sourced by our recruitment teams in India, then tested against your standard. You receive verified profiles with test results attached, not CVs.
Video panels, or an in-person selection drive in India where volume justifies it. On a forty-role mandate a three-day drive replaces six weeks of scheduling, and the selection decisions stay yours.
Offer, attestation, emigration clearance, medicals and visa processing, reported weekly. This is where mandates fail and it is the phase most agencies go quiet on.
Travel, pre-departure briefing and arrival coordination. The candidate becomes your employee on joining and all employment administration transfers to you at that point.
We stay in contact after joining to confirm a smooth handover, resolve early issues, and support employers through the initial placement period.
Share your workforce requirements and get a realistic hiring and deployment timeline from our recruitment team before you commit.
a plant, hotel, site or branch opening on a set day and needing a defined headcount before it.
where the trade or specialism does not exist domestically in sufficient numbers.
where a standing pipeline costs less than a fresh scramble each time.
where compliance screening, not sourcing speed, is the binding constraint, and a failed background check after joining is a reportable event.
usually after candidates arrived on the wrong visa category or did not arrive at all.
running a Gulf and an African mobilisation at once and wanting one agency rather than one per destination.
Civil, mechanical, electrical trades, site supervision and project management.
Production, maintenance, quality, welding, fabrication and plant operations.
Technicians, operators, HSE and project staff.
Chefs, cooks, service, housekeeping and hotel operations, including restaurant teams recruited from India for Gulf and European employers.
Nursing, allied health and support staff, with credential verification handled as standard.
Operations, processing, collections and branch roles, with enhanced compliance screening.
Drivers, warehouse, technicians and facilities teams.
Skilled technical roles recruited permanently, not on contract.
Teams in Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Pune, Madurai and Trichy. For employers hiring in and around Kolkata, West Bengal and Howrah specifically, our manpower consultancy in Kolkata team handles that region directly.
Recruitment, not labour supply. Your hires join your payroll permanently. We do not employ workers and hire them out, and we will not quote for it.
No temporary, contract, project or temp-to-perm staffing. Stated plainly because the word “manpower” implies otherwise and buyers deserve to know before the first call.
Physical trade testing in India, not CVs forwarded from a database.
We quote the joining date, not the shortlist date. Overseas mandates take 8 to 16 weeks and we count the visa honestly.
Weekly documentation reporting during the phase where mandates actually fail.
Compliance screening depth matched to the sector, with enhanced verification for BFSI, healthcare, and safeguarding roles.
Feasibility checked before sourcing starts. We have declined mandates at this stage because the destination would not issue the visas, which is a better outcome than a wasted month.
The word “manpower” covers two completely different businesses, and the industry benefits from the confusion. One recruits people who become your employees. The other employs people and rents them to you. Both are legitimate. They have entirely different cost structures, compliance obligations and balance-sheet treatment, and a surprising number of employers do not know which one they have bought until an auditor asks.
Alliance is the first kind only. Permanent recruitment, from India, into employers worldwide. If you need hourly labour, a managed workforce or eight weeks of project cover, we do not provide it, and we will tell you that in the first five minutes rather than the third meeting.
The second thing worth knowing is where our recruiters sit. They are in India, in the cities we recruit from, which is why a welder can be tested before you see the profile and why a Kolkata mandate is run by people in Kolkata.
We are also the wrong choice for single senior appointments, where retained executive search is the right instrument. For overseas deployment specifically, see our overseas recruitment agency practice. For Gulf destinations, see manpower Middle East.
We had a tight manpower requirement and needed candidates who could meet specific skill standards. Alliance understood the requirement quickly and provided well-screened profiles that made our selection process much easier.
Alliance handled our manpower recruitment requirement professionally from sourcing to candidate coordination. The team stayed responsive throughout and helped us maintain a steady pipeline of suitable workers.
What impressed us was the quality of screening. Instead of sending large numbers of CVs, Alliance focused on candidates who matched our actual workforce requirements, which saved our management team considerable time.

Compliance screening, without close competition. A slow hire costs you weeks. A failed background check discovered after joining is a reportable event with regulatory consequences. Turnaround time and replacement support matter, but they are recoverable. A compliance failure often is not.
Yes. Welders weld, electricians are tested, drivers drive. You receive test results with the profile rather than a CV.
