Safety Officer - Oil & Gas Projects

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Compliance:

   • Ensure strict adherence to Saudi Aramco safety standards and procedures on all project sites.
   • Monitor compliance with local and international safety regulations.

2. Risk Assessment:

   • Conduct site-specific risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
   • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

3. Training & Awareness:

   • Provide training to staff on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and hazard management.
   • Promote safety awareness among workers through workshops and toolbox talks.

4. Incident Investigation:

   • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and preventive actions.
   • Maintain detailed incident reports and track corrective actions.

5. Safety Audits & Inspections:

   • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure safe work practices.
   • Monitor the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).

6. Emergency Preparedness:

   • Develop and implement emergency response plans.
   • Conduct drills and training for emergency scenarios.

7. Documentation & Reporting:

   • Maintain up-to-date safety documentation, including permits, certifications, and compliance reports.
   • Provide regular reports to management on safety performance and improvement areas.

Key Requirements:

• Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven expertise in managing safety on large-scale projects, especially those adhering to Saudi Aramco standards.

• Certifications:

  • NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety certifications.
  • Saudi Aramco safety-related certifications or approvals (preferred).

• Skills & Knowledge:

  • Thorough understanding of Saudi Aramco safety protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, incident investigation, and safety auditing.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.

• Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Flexibility to relocate or travel to project sites as required.
