Adviser, Upstream Business

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning and Advisory

   • Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement upstream business strategies aligned with corporate goals.
   • Provide actionable insights into market trends, technologies, and geopolitical factors influencing the upstream sector.

2. Operational Excellence

   • Guide exploration and production operations to ensure optimal efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.
   • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and risk management in upstream activities.

3. Business Development and Partnerships

   • Identify and evaluate opportunities for expansion and diversification in upstream operations.
   • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including joint venture partners, regulatory authorities, and service providers.

4. Leadership and Mentorship

   • Inspire and lead cross-functional teams towards achieving organizational objectives.
   • Mentor emerging leaders to build a robust talent pipeline.

5. Compliance and Governance

   • Ensure all upstream activities adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
   • Uphold ethical practices and compliance with local and international standards.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Industry Experience

   • Minimum of 18 years of experience in upstream Oil & Gas or related industries.
   • Proven track record in senior leadership roles within top multinationals or international brands.

2. Sector Knowledge

   • Experience with upstream operations, exploration, and production.
   • Familiarity with adjacent sectors like Telecom, FMCG, Downstream Oil & Gas, or Digital Payment services is a plus.

3. Age Criteria

   • Preferred age: 45 to 58 years (Exceptional candidates slightly above 58 will also be considered).

4. Core Competencies

   • Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills.
