Deputy Construction Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and adhere to QHSE policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with ISO Management standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, and ISO 45000.
• Manage and supervise construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Schedule deliverables, estimate project costs, and review progress regularly.
• Ensure adherence to building and safety regulations onsite and offsite.
• Coordinate with construction teams and subcontractors.
• Oversee the selection of tools, materials, and equipment; maintain inventory records.
• Monitor work progress and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Anticipate potential issues and implement solutions proactively.
• Negotiate contracts, obtain necessary permits, and mitigate risks effectively.
• Uphold quality construction standards and implement proper techniques.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 10 years of experience in construction, with proven management expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of construction management processes, methods, and standards.
• Familiarity with construction materials, techniques, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Competence in conflict and crisis management.

Physical Requirements:

• Mental and physical fitness to handle demanding tasks and extended work hours.
• Energetic and capable of working under pressure with enthusiasm.
