Mechanical Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with QHSE standards.
• Maintain the integrity of ISO Management Documentation and standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, and ISO 45001.
• Communicate and enforce job site expectations while reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
• Supervise mechanical maintenance crew activities, providing technical direction and guidance for troubleshooting and repair jobs.
• Ensure safe and efficient execution of maintenance work to optimize equipment performance and availability.
• Coordinate with the maintenance planner to prioritize, schedule, and assign jobs, ensuring preparedness for daily tasks.
• Establish and enforce safety standards, procedure compliance, and corrective actions while promoting proper work behavior.
• Perform job site observations to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Address routine supervisory issues, inform management of maintenance concerns, and organize plans and objectives.
• Support project teams by fulfilling mechanical requirements to create safe and accessible job areas.
• Lead mechanical maintenance crews during commissioning and start-up phases.
• Train and evaluate staff to ensure competency for assigned tasks.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution, or 7 years of relevant work experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to identify conditions requiring corrective actions and advise accordingly.
• Knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance and documentation per standards, policies, and procedures.
