Primary Responsibilities :
Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients using specialized equipment.
Assess various organs and body parts such as the abdomen, pelvis, heart, blood vessels, thyroid, and during pregnancy.
2. Analyzing and Interpreting ResultsInterpret the ultrasound images and identify abnormalities or medical conditions.
Provide detailed reports with findings and diagnostic impressions.
3. Collaborating with Other Medical ProfessionalsConsult with referring physicians to correlate imaging findings with clinical symptoms.
Suggest further tests or recommend treatment options based on ultrasound results.
4. Patient Care and CommunicationExplain the procedure to patients, address concerns, and ensure their comfort during the scan.
Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate results when appropriate.
5. Equipment Handling and MaintenanceOperate and maintain ultrasound machines and ensure they are calibrated and functioning properly.
Stay updated on new ultrasound techniques and technologies.
6. Record Keeping and DocumentationMaintain accurate records of all ultrasound examinations.
Document findings in medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
7. Specialized Expertise
