Road Surveyor

Key Responsibilities  Total Station Operation: Conduct precise land, contour, and elevation surveys using Total Station and related surveying equipment.  Road Alignment & Layout Work: Establish, verify, and mark road centerlines, gradient levels, cross-sections, and right-of-way (ROW) alignments on-site.  Topographic Mapping: Perform comprehensive topographic field surveys to gather geographic data for preliminary design and planning.  Site Collaboration: Work closely with Site Engineers, Project Managers, and construction crews to ensure layout accuracy during execution.  Data Management & Reporting: Process raw survey data, maintain field logs/books, and prepare topographic maps, leveling sheets, and survey documentation.  Quality & Benchmark Control: Establish and maintain permanent and temporary benchmark points across the project site.

 Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related field.  Experience: Minimum 1 year of practical field experience as a Road Surveyor or Land Surveyor.  Technical Skills:  High proficiency in operating Total Station, Auto Level, and GPS/DGPS equipment.  Strong understanding of road design concepts, highway alignment, and leveling calculations.  Familiarity with AutoCAD / Civil 3D or survey data download/processing software is a plus.  Soft Skills:  Strong team collaboration and communication skills.  Excellent organizational skills and high accuracy in data recording.  Willingness to work on outdoor project sites under varying weather conditions.
