Job description
1–2 years of professional experience in video editing, particularly short-form content.
Strong experience in storytelling-style video editing.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Ability to create creative and stylized captions, subtitles, and text animations.
Basic knowledge of colour correction and colour grading.
Strong understanding of music selection, sound design, timing, and emotional pacing.
Knowledge of Instagram Reels and other short-form social media formats.
Creative mindset with strong visual storytelling abilities.
Good attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
A portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous short-form video editing work is preferred.
What you will do
- Edit engaging short-form video content for Instagram Reels and other social media platforms.
- Create storytelling-driven videos that capture audience attention and maintain engagement.
- Develop creative video sequences with smooth transitions, effective cuts, and compelling visual storytelling.
- Add stylized captions, subtitles, and text animations that match the tone and emotion of the video.
- Apply basic colour correction and colour grading to enhance video quality.
- Select and synchronize music, sound effects, and background audio to create the right mood and emotional impact.
- Ensure effective timing, pacing, and flow throughout the videos.
- Stay updated with trending social media formats, editing styles, and content trends.
- Collaborate with the creative and content teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality videos within deadlines.
- Maintain consistency in editing style while adapting to different content themes and brand requirements.
