Job description

What you will do

• Strategic Financial Leadership
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the hospital's business objectives.
• Advise the Board and CEO on financial performance, investment decisions, business risks and growth opportunities.
• Evaluate financial performance and recommend initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Support strategic planning, business expansion and sustainable growth.
• Budgeting & Financial Planning
• Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and investigate significant variances.
• Develop financial models, scenario analyses and investment appraisals.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and resource allocation.
• Hospital Finance & Revenue-Cycle Management
• Oversee hospital revenue-cycle operations, including billing, collections, receivables and revenue recognition.
• Monitor payer, insurance and reimbursement processes to improve collection efficiency.
• Work with clinical, operations and billing teams to minimise revenue leakage and strengthen financial performance.
• Develop measures to improve revenue realisation, cost control and financial transparency.
• Treasury & Financial Risk Management
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital and treasury operations.
• Oversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, insurance and investment activities.
• Ensure adequate funds are available to meet operational and strategic requirements.
• Identify and mitigate financial, operational and investment risks.
• Financial Reporting, Audit & Compliance
• Oversee timely and accurate financial statements, management reports and Board-level presentations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, IFRS, tax requirements and Qatar's regulatory framework.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Establish and strengthen internal controls, financial policies and risk-management procedures.
• Maintain strong governance, transparency and accountability across financial operations.
• Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance team.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, procurement, HR and other departments.
• Build effective relationships with banks, auditors, insurers, investors and regulatory stakeholders.
• Promote financial discipline, ethical conduct and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
