Job description
- Proven experience as a Thai Chef or in a similar Thai cuisine kitchen role.
- Strong knowledge of authentic Thai cuisine, cooking techniques, ingredients, and traditional recipes.
- Expertise in preparing Thai curries, soups, noodles, stir-fried dishes, and other popular Thai specialities.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with the kitchen team.
- Relevant culinary training or professional chef experience is preferred.
What you will do
- Prepare authentic Thai dishes, including soups, curries, stir-fried dishes, noodles, rice dishes, salads, and appetizers.
- Plan and prepare menus based on customer preferences and business requirements.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Prepare and balance traditional Thai flavours, including sweet, sour, salty, and spicy.
- Select fresh ingredients, herbs, spices, sauces, and other essential Thai cooking ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and food safety.
- Monitor ingredient stock, manage food wastage, and ensure proper storage of food items.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food preparation.
- Follow standard recipes and maintain consistency across all dishes.
- Assist in developing new dishes and seasonal menu items as required.
