Business Development Officer
Job description
Must be a South African national.
Substantial business development or sales experience in Zambia’s mining sector.
Established professional network and strong connections with Zambian mines.
Good understanding of mining operations, supplier registration, and procurement processes.
Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
Experience in industrial, engineering, or technical sales will be an advantage.
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to mine sites across Zambia.
Ability to work independently, generate leads, and achieve business development targets.
What you will do
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with mines, mining contractors, procurement teams, and end users across Zambia.
- Identify new business opportunities and convert potential leads into confirmed projects and orders.
- Promote the company’s services, including hydraulic cylinder repairs, hard chrome plating, machining, and fabrication.
- Understand and navigate mine supplier registration procedures and procurement processes.
- Arrange client meetings and site visits to develop business opportunities.
- Follow up on client enquiries, quotations, proposals, and ongoing negotiations.
- Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective clients.
- Provide management with regular updates on sales activities, market developments, and business opportunities.
