Job Description:
Position: Business Development Manager
Location: Delhi / Mumbai/ Bangalore
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Meet and exceed targets and KPIs as set by your line manager
Making 20-25 calls per day; following up on all enquiries; inbound, call and web
enquiries
Deliver sales presentations, both face-to-face and virtually to demonstrate how
Renaissance Learning’s products can effectively improve student levels of
attainment
Identify potential new and emerging opportunities for Renaissance products
within the international schools’ market
Generates new leads through cold calling and contacting leads from events as well
as a database of contacts provided
Build on customer relationships and create referrals from existing customers base
Manage renewal customers, keeping in regular contact by email and phone,
upselling and crossing new products and training
Effectively managing your pipeline in accordance to quality procedures; meeting
pipeline KPIs
Win and recapture customers lost from the CRM database
Keep up-to-date with developments within the K-12 sector that directly relate to
Renaissance’s products and their position within the sector
Provide quotations and complete admin tasks related to the sale
Attendance at exhibitions and conferences
Other duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE
Strong sales skilled person with experience working in a global sales environment,
ideally in a software or in a consultative role. Proven success with consultative sales,
with the ability to build, work and close an annual pipeline with open opportunities.
Experience of managing customers through a full sales cycle. Experience of selling
educational software or educational technology. Expertise in the K-12 market and
technology space. Practised in providing presentations and demonstrating
technology both online and face-to-face.
