Job Title: Business Developer/Sales Manager
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Research, negotiate contracts, close deals and develop and maintain relationship with clients and suppliers
Handle Import & Export documentations (BL / Packing List / Invoices / COO etc.)
Process and submit import L/C application to the bank, review export L/C and request amendments if any
Coordinate with suppliers, buyers and/or their agent for documentation & shipping requirement
Check shipment status and inform sales / customer of the status timely
Prepare export/import documents and ensure that they strictly comply with the payment terms and/or customers’ requirement
Monitor payments from customer against L/C or payment terms whichever applicable
Coordinate with Customer Internal coordination Operation team, Documentation team, Accounts team & Transportation team
Constantly update customers with the shipment tracking details
Arrange for proper transportation, freight rate forwarded to Export and Import
Shipment, finalize the contract , proper tracking of shipment.
Key Skills Desired:
The company will hire a young ambitious and energetic employee at senior level position having good initiative and interpersonal skills, keen to travel locally and internationally, able to interact as team leader, good English skills.
Have minimum experience of 5 years in Agri-commodity trade including with the following products: Raw cashews nuts, cashew Kernels, cotton, cottonseed, cottonseed oil, cottonseed meal, soybeans, soybean oil, soybean meal, rice, pulses, sugar, shea nuts and shea butter
Candidate should also have experience in negotiating and closing deals (with clients, suppliers, wholesalers, retailers, distributors), setting up joint ventures with mills and processing units owners, developing and maintaining relationship with clients and suppliers, pre- shipment/ post shipment/ coordination with CHA/ Import LC related work/ MIS related to Import & Export.
The candidate should be able to work without close supervision and remotely (work from Home) as needed.
Experience with customers and suppliers from Africa and Arab countries is highly desirable
Research, be aware and provide daily update of commodities price fluctuation and forex which may affect the commodities being traded
