Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Oversee and manage all production activities to meet output targets.
 - Ensure efficient use of resources to achieve maximum productivity.
 - Implement and monitor production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
 
Team Leadership:
- Lead, manage, and mentor plant staff, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics teams.
 - Develop and train employees to enhance skills and performance.
 - Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
 
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
 - Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a zero-accident culture.
 - Ensure compliance with industry standards, labor laws, and local regulations.
 
Quality Assurance:
- Maintain high product quality through robust quality control procedures.
 - Investigate and address any quality issues promptly to avoid rework or delays.
 - Collaborate with the quality assurance team to uphold production standards.
 
Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Manage the plant’s budget while maintaining production quality.
 - Monitor expenditures and optimize operational costs.
 - Propose and execute cost-saving initiatives without compromising on productivity or quality.
 
Maintenance and Asset Management:
- Ensure proper maintenance and timely repairs of machinery to minimize downtime.
 - Develop a preventive maintenance schedule to enhance equipment life and efficiency.
 - Maintain an inventory of necessary spare parts and supplies.
 
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements for optimizing production efficiency.
 - Introduce lean manufacturing practices, such as Six Sigma, to reduce waste and improve throughput.
 - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
 
Supply Chain and Inventory Management:
- Oversee material procurement, inventory control, and supply chain logistics.
 - Ensure timely availability of raw materials for production.
 - Manage finished goods inventory and coordinate with logistics for timely distribution.
 
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate regularly with senior management on production performance, safety metrics, and cost control.
 - Collaborate with other departments (sales, procurement, finance) to align plant operations with company goals.
 - Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, regulatory agencies, and government bodies.
 
Strategic Planning:
- Develop short-term and long-term operational plans for the plant.
 - Contribute to company-wide strategic planning initiatives related to manufacturing and operations.
 
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
 - Experience: 8-15 years in plant management or a similar leadership role in manufacturing.
 - In-depth knowledge of production management, lean manufacturing, and safety protocols.
 - Proficient in the use of ERP systems and production management software.
