Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Data Analyst / MIS Specialist with strong expertise in Excel and Power BI. This individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing data-driven dashboards to track and improve the performance of various functions within the organization. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of data visualization principles, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Dashboard Development and Management
• Create and maintain insightful, visually appealing dashboards in Excel Dashboards and/ or Power BI track KPIs across different business functions.
• Design and implement customized data visualization solutions to enable leadership teams to make informed strategic decisions.
• Data Analysis and Reporting
• Analyze data from various sources to monitor performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Generate routine and ad-hoc reports to support management in operational planning, forecasting, and strategy formulation.
• Performance Monitoring
• Collaborate with department heads to identify critical KPIs and build dashboards that monitor progress against targets.
• Conduct periodic reviews and provide reports on function-specific performance to ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Data Management
• Collect, clean, and validate data from various internal and external sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Organize and maintain a structured database for easy access to historical and real-time data.
• Process Improvement
• Evaluate and recommend improvements in existing data processes and reporting frameworks.
• Work proactively with stakeholders to understand data needs and drive efficiencies in reporting processes.
• Training and Support
• Provide training to team members on interpreting dashboards and using Excel/Power BI features.
• Serve as a point of contact for queries related to data reports and visualizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Background
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced level), including complex formulas, pivot tables, charts, and VBA (if required).
• Expertise in Power BI for creating sophisticated data visualizations
• Knowledge of SQL or other data management tools is a plus.
• Analytical Skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a track record of analyzing data to drive insights.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into understandable, actionable information.
• Soft Skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience
• 3+ years of experience in a data analysis, MIS, or similar role, preferably within a multi-functional organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with additional BI tools or statistical software (Tableau, R, Python, etc.).
• Certification in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, or other relevant analytics tools.
• Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams to provide data solutions.
