Welding Expert

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee welding processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications.
• Conduct detailed welding inspections for CS and alloy steels to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
• Apply advanced knowledge of metallurgy to analyze and address welding-related challenges.
• Execute and interpret various NDT techniques (e.g., radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing) to verify weld quality.
• Develop and maintain welding procedures and protocols in alignment with project needs and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA/QC teams to resolve welding-related issues.
• Train and mentor junior staff on welding techniques and inspection standards.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and certifications.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of [X years] in welding and inspection of CS and alloy steels.
• Certifications:
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent.
  • NDT Level II/III in relevant methods (preferred).
• Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of welding processes (GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, etc.).
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of metallurgy and heat treatment processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in high-pressure piping, structural welding, or similar applications.
• Familiarity with international welding standards (AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.).
• Strong team collaboration and leadership abilities.
