Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Resident Engineer/Project Manager to oversee and ensure the successful delivery of industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project management activities, ensuring on-time completion within budget, quality assurance, and compliance with specifications, codes, and safety regulations. This role requires a strong communicator with extensive experience in construction management and supervision, adept at coordinating with stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Project Management:
Oversee all project management activities to ensure timely completion within budget.
Prepare and review project schedules, mitigations, and contractor reports.
Provide cost and risk analyses and manage scope of work changes effectively.
Site Supervision & Quality Assurance:
Manage daily construction activities on-site and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
Monitor progress against the construction schedule and review contractor progress reports.
Conduct inspections to ensure work meets quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and authorities.
Regularly communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to clients and other stakeholders.
Negotiate and approve deviations from construction materials and procedures in consultation with stakeholders.
Contract Administration:
Review and approve contractor payment applications, variation claims, and close-out documents.
Resolve discrepancies or problems arising from field operations or contract documents.
Assist with contractor claim analysis and recommendations.
Team Management:
Lead and manage construction teams, ensuring clear communication and effective task delegation.
Provide guidance and training to team members to achieve project objectives.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records, including progress reports, cost estimates, and pay quantity calculations.
Prepare detailed client reports on project progress and status.
Risk & Issue Resolution:
Analyze and resolve project issues, ensuring engineering and construction standards are maintained.
Review and comment on contractor schedules, developing strategies to keep the project on track.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 15 years of experience, with significant experience as a Resident Engineer or Project Manager, preferably in industrial construction projects.
At least 5+ years of expertise in project management.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment.
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Proficiency in reviewing and approving contractor payment certificates and variation claims.
Ability to analyze engineering reports, plans, and specifications.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
