Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Operations
- Identify and source suppliers, vendors, and contractors for materials and services required for projects.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes, negotiate prices, and finalize procurement contracts to secure optimal terms.
- Ensure all purchases meet quality standards, project specifications, and delivery timelines.
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and consistency.
- Conduct vendor evaluations and audits to assess performance, compliance, and suitability.
- Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality, or payment to maintain smooth operations.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and delivery notes.
- Prepare and submit reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
Cost Control and Budgeting
- Monitor procurement expenditures to ensure alignment with project budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure timely payment of supplier invoices.
Coordination and Communication
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to understand procurement needs and timelines.
- Provide regular updates on the status of purchase orders and delivery schedules to internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure proper receipt and storage of materials.
Market Research and Trend Analysis
- Conduct market research to stay updated on pricing, trends, and availability of construction materials.
- Identify and recommend new suppliers or alternative materials to optimize project outcomes.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
Certifications
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and procurement best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
