Manager - Mold Assembly line

 

• Job Description
  Reports to: Tool Room Manager

• Job Summary 

• A tooling professional with hand-on experience in Mold Assemby, Mold maintenance, Hot-runner systems, Tool Trials and trouble-shooting. Perform day-to-day operations of the tool assembly section. 

• Conduct Tool maintenance program for preventive, predictive maintenance. Support break-down maintenance. 

• Conduct improvement programs on resolution of chronic issues. 

• Feedback to Design and Manufacturing teams for continual improvement. 

• Knowledge of mold polishing and mold welding techniques

• Job Responsibilities:

• Perform Tool Assembly and related activities as per schedule

• Execute preventive maintenance & Mold polishing activities

• Follow-up of mold elements from machines shop and procurement teams

• Study of inspection reports and conduct adjustments, if any.

• Run mold Spotting press for effective butting of mold halves

• Responsible for flash-free mold trials

• Perform final check of molds before offering for production

• Identification of potential tool spare & managing the inventory between minimum and maximum level. 

• Participation in Design review to suggest ways to reduce Mold assembly time
  Participation in New mold trials and productionization of molds.

• Position Requirements:

• A Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Tool Engineering

• Expertise in large molds assembly

• Knowledge of Heat-Treatment process

• Can handle 3D CAD data for day to day work

• Conversant with MS-Office tools
