Job Position: Procurement Manager/Supply Chain Managers

Industry Experience Requirement – Wheat Milling, Edible Oil Refinery, Saponification, Soap, Baby Diaper

Key Responsibilities:

Commodity Sourcing and Procurement

• Develop and execute procurement strategies specifically for high-volume raw materials, including Wheat, CPO, Crude Soya, and chemicals etc.
• Conduct market analysis to monitor trends, assess price fluctuations, and mitigate supply risks.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reputable suppliers to ensure the reliability and quality of raw materials.

Supplier Relationship and Contract Management

• Manage the supplier selection process, emphasizing cost, quality, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate favourable contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-efficiency and secure supply commitments.
• Maintain long-term, productive relationships with key suppliers to support continuous production and ensure responsiveness to changing requirements.

Inventory and Cost Control

• Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to ensure raw materials are available in the right quantities and at the right times to meet production needs.
• Develop procurement budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Conduct price benchmarking and cost analyses to optimize purchasing costs and identify opportunities for savings.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in raw materials procurement, particularly with commodities such as Wheat, CPO, Crude Soya, and chemicals.
• Travel: Ready to travel Africa as and when required
• Skills:
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with commodity purchasing.
• In-depth understanding of commodity market trends and pricing.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent in excel skills
