Key Responsibilities:
Design and Analysis:
- Develop and review detailed structural designs and specifications for buildings and infrastructure.
 - Perform structural calculations to ensure the safety and stability of foundations, beams, columns, and other structural elements.
 - Utilize advanced design and analysis software to simulate structural behavior under various loads.
 
Project Coordination and Management:
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into overall projects.
 - Provide technical guidance to on-site teams and address structural challenges during construction.
 - Monitor structural progress and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
 
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Conduct site inspections to verify construction compliance with structural designs, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
 - Identify and resolve structural discrepancies and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
 - Ensure adherence to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
 
Cost and Resource Management:
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for structural components.
 - Optimize material usage and construction methods to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
 - Coordinate with procurement teams to source structural materials and equipment.
 
Testing and Certification:
- Oversee material testing (e.g., concrete, steel) to ensure results meet project requirements.
 - Supervise load tests and other assessments to validate structural performance.
 - Certify structural components as fit for purpose and provide detailed documentation.
 
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of structural designs, calculations, inspections, and modifications.
 - Prepare progress reports for the Projects Manager, highlighting milestones, challenges, and resolutions.
 - Contribute to the preparation of technical manuals, maintenance guidelines, and as-built drawings.
 
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A master’s degree is a plus.
 - Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in structural engineering, focusing on complex construction projects.
 - Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications preferred.
 - Skills:
- Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or Tekla Structures.
 - Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and structural systems.
 - Familiarity with project management tools and construction site workflows.
