Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilise Tally software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Perform routine financial transactions, such as recording invoices, expenses, receipts, and payments, ensuring proper coding and classification of all financial data.
- Prepare and process journal entries, adjusting entries, and month-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Generate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements, using Tally software.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and insights.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, highlight variances, and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., finance team members, management, department heads) to provide accurate and timely financial information and support decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest developments and enhancements in Tally software to leverage its capabilities effectively.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably using Tally software.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using Tally software and other accounting software applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Good understanding of taxation laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English, Gujarati, and Hindi to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of financial information.
