Jewellery Design Head

Key Responsibilities:
Design & Innovation

• Lead the jewellery design team in creating unique, market-driven, and trendsetting jewellery collections.
• Work on concept development, sketching, and CAD designing for new product lines.
• Ensure designs align with the brand’s identity and market demands.

Market Research & Trend Analysis

• Stay updated with global jewellery trends, competitor designs, and emerging styles.
• Research materials, gemstones, and metal trends to introduce innovative designs.
• Ensure collections appeal to target customer segments.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Manage and mentor a team of designers, CAD specialists, and artisans.
• Provide creative direction, feedback, and training to enhance team skills.
• Collaborate with production, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution of designs.

Material & Manufacturing Knowledge

• Select appropriate metals, gemstones, and materials for each design.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure feasibility and quality in manufacturing.
• Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and durability.

Client & Vendor Interaction

• Work with clients for customized jewellery designs and bespoke collections.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers for sourcing materials and prototype development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Any Graduate (Degree/Diploma in Jewellery Design/Fine Arts preferred).
• Experience: 5+ years in jewellery designing, with experience in leading design teams.
• Design Skills: Expertise in sketching, CAD designing, and manual designing.
• Creative Vision: Ability to conceptualize and develop innovative jewellery pieces.
• Market Knowledge: Understanding of customer preferences, gemstones, and trends.
• Team Management: Leadership skills to guide and mentor a design team.
• Software Knowledge: Experience with CAD software, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar.
• Communication: Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in luxury, bridal, contemporary, or high-fashion jewellery.
• Knowledge of hallmarking, metal compositions, and gemstone grading.
• Ability to create design portfolios and mood boards for new collections.
